James Beard Dinner (Fundraiser) 6-9PM @ Living Classrooms Frederick Douglass Isaac Myers Maritime Park - Tickets Required. On the eve of Sail250, join Living Classrooms, the James Beard Foundation, and Board Member Jeff Cherry for an exclusive, wine-paired, multi-course dinner led by acclaimed James Beard Award–winning chef Spike Gjerde, bringing together leaders from across Baltimore for an unforgettable farm-to-table culinary experience—reserve your seat now, as space is limited.

  • Exhibit Opening at Baltimore Visitor Center: "Navy 250: The Legacy,” a celebration of the sailor through the storied 250-year history of the United States Navy. Through historic artifacts, a cutting-edge theater experience, an award-winning interactive, and their own words, sailors’ stories from 1775 through today are brought to life, time and time again showcasing how ordinary individuals have risen to meet the moment in extraordinary times.

  • Sea Chanteys with the Rappahannock Whalers: 8PM to 9PM aboard USS Constellation
  • Experience the music that once echoed across the decks as the Rappahannock Whalers perform traditional sea chanteys aboard USS Constellation. Joined by the U.S. Naval Landing Party and the living historians of Ship's Company, this special evening will celebrate the songs, stories, and camaraderie of the maritime world. No knowledge of sea chanteys is required, and audience participation is encouraged! (Free admission)
